Entrenched in France

Friday Standard work call with the Prof Sir and then off to get our blood tests. Seems as though they want to check for absolutely everything when you register with a GP here. Sadly however it still won’t allow me to donate blood in France as they have this whole CJD thing, on the plus side for our UK readers it means I can only donate to UK donors when

The project is tanking

Thursday Mostly worked. I did give Biomedica a quick call today though. Seems they don’t do vaccinations but we can drop in anytime to get our blood tests done. Hopefully then they will also tell us where/how to get our tetanus boosters. Was then just very busy with work. In being so busy however I’d missed a rather massive piece of news: *Russia invades Ukraine* What madness is this? It’s

Making tracks

Sunday Following a negotiation with Matt last night I managed to be in the car ready to go at 9am. Sun, Ski and… Lamb!

Wednesday Just working [16 February 2022] Thursday Busy morning with an early 8:30 start. A few back to back meetings but calls done at 12. Time to crack on and make the most of the day. Some good candidates and possibly a couple that could be invited to interview for the temp work for me. 6 interviews though is pretty testing and I was desperate to get up and have a walk about. I found Matt out in the garden. Seems that he’s cleared the area ready for us to

The long road home

Saturday You cannot be serious! Who knew that there was a 6am?! Bless her though, mum got up to say goodbye. I appreciated the support, and that Matt was driving, I’m not sure that I should be driving at that time in the morning, my eyes are hardly open. It’s so dark out that the first pictures didn’t work at all! Sun had risen by the time we reached Folkstone.

Driving home for Christmas (presents)

Monday Busy day. Work, ANAH and preparations. Work calls. Then M. Julien came round, he’s very nice and clearly when he arrived the penny suddenly dropped. He’d been wondering why the quote for pellet boiler was so large and the spec on the alternative quote was for two air source heat pumps, it had seemed rather over specced until he saw the sheer volume of the house. He was grateful
