Time for ourselves
Off to Corsica today for our first proper holiday since we moved to France, and in fact since Mexico in 2019 – with the exception of the two trips to France to find the house. As you’ll know, we did try to have one a few weeks ago, but I wasn’t too successful. This time I promised to make amends and not to be on the email and calls constantly.
As my passport expires in November we decided that it wasn’t worth taking the risk and trying to fly outside France so we were limited to where we could drive into Spain, or, Non-Metropolitan France – and Corsica falls into this. Good a reason as any to give it a go.
Left work early to check out Lapyere (a chain of bathroom/kitchen shops) in Toulouse and found the ‘unicorn’ sink I’ve been looking for. Beautifully curved to reflect the curve of the bath, lovely in many ways. Apart from the under unit which I wasn’t so keen on. Anyway, time to head to the airport.
Lounge was closed again. Apparently, and in such a French way, the lounge ‘is open’ from 5am-9am… Seriously!!! Time for food and then a drink before the plane.
Arrived safely in Corsica and the car was a bit more sporty than expected, which was cool. Roads better than expected and super fancy apartment was, well, pretty fancy.
Arrived at the apartment and it was pretty nice, loads of room and nicely fitted out. A bit beige so no great design ideas to take home but certainly nothing to complain about.
Time to settle in and relax
