I’ve also included a generic planner that I picked up at Haskins in Sussex before I left the UK but will need to be adjusted somewhat based on your local weather and ground conditions.

• Oak: Winter – Nov-Apr
• Fig: Late winter or early spring
• Quince: Winter – before they break leaf in the Spring
• Laurel: Late spring – early summer
• Plums: Young trees – Spring; Established trees – mid summer
• Cherry: Late summer – Late July-early August
• Birch: Late summer – early autumn
• Hibiscus, Rose of Sharon: Late autumn – early winter
