Square boxes, rectangular holes
Monday
Busy day. Lots of work but the lilies at the back of the chicken coop are looking great. Matt had a follow up at the dentist so had to head up there around 6pm, but we did find swiss roll at the Carefour which was a bonus.

Tuesday
Working outside can have its distractions. Today it was a leaf cutter bee. Now I’ve heard of these before but never seen one. Cool as f***.
Matt’s been working hard so time for a dip.
Managed to finish work at a not massively unreasonable time to also managed to pop into the garden.

Wednesday
Up early today as have pushed back meetings for a trip to Rural Master (one of the local DIY/garden stores). I know what you’re thinking, and yes, it is pretty glamorous here. We did however get two new 1000 litre cubes for our rainwater harvesting (and in the interim to reduce the amount of water we waste from redoing the super massive paddling pool. It’s definitely become even more wonky so we’re going to have to do something about it.
Back in time for the first meetings and busy for the rest of the day. Matt however managed to make time after work to remove the rest of the flooring from the pink bathroom.

Thursday
So we pulled out of the bid today that was due to be submitted tomorrow. Guess those 12/1am and weekend sessions were a waste of time. Hey ho, not my money, at least as a contractor I will still get paid for the time. I can now get back to the ‘day job’. But first, a quick look in the garden and there are promising signs of growth on the cornichons.
Time to open up the door to the ‘adults room’ and start to think about how I am going to plan these bathrooms. Thankfully Matt helped with the clearing up. I really haven’t given them a lot of thought and as the programme has changed I’m realising this is quite pressing. I wish I could get over to Spain to look at tiles.
I’m trying to work but it sounds as though bombs are dropping above my head. Seems that Matt is trying to remove the skirting board, which also means destroying the.. uh.. wooden thingy. It’s slightly backwards but it is real progress towards having more than one functional bathroom.
