England 22 – France 19

It’s Sunday and the big rugby match is this afternoon.

Best get a good start on the day. Was reliably informed that there is a recycling unit down at the Intermarche and Sunday seems to be a good day to take it (so nobody can see your shame). I had a drive around the car park and no sign. I can only imagine that it is in the entrance bit before you go into the main store. This needs doing and there’s certainly no way I am carrying this into the store entrance – it’s hard enough just to lift it.

Time to slowly drive around and see where there is one. It was pretty so took some pictures, not sure you can see too much in them but up in the mountains was beautiful in the snow.

I’m sure we saw one in St Beat. Found a glass recycling place. Doesn’t look as though it is really in use but it says glass recycling so that’s what I’m doing. Now just the plastic and cans. Guess I will have a drive about and see if I can find one. Ah, here it is. Job done.

Ready for the rugby. Also quite cold so best add a jumper.

Half time. The fireplace has been a bit rubbish so probably time for a clear out to help it draw. We are somewhat behind on it as you’re meant to do it once a week and I don’t think it’s been done since we moved in. Well that might be part of the problem. Not just one but two trays full.

What a game and good to chat with the Rugby group throughout. France played incredibly well. We spent most of the match in their half but didn’t make the most of it [Farrell certainly had more than enough opportunities to seal the deal]. Extra time [which almost never happens in rugby], half way through and we are still going. Eventually we get the final three points to win the Autumn internationals.

Rang mum.

Checked and measured the beds upstairs. Really not convinced by the two single beds in the blue and white room. The bed in ‘Tonia’s’ room looks pretty good and it’s reasonably comfortable. The mattress in the sauna room also looks relatively ok. Seems this is one of the odd French sized ones. At least we seem to have one standard double and the air bed for our guests during the holidays.

Managed to get the fire up and running ok this evening.

Still lots more to be done in the kitchen so time to get some more stripping done. Done as much as I can for one evening so time for a rest, chat to Matt and bed.
