Woken up by the French phone ringing but couldn’t find it in time and no message left, had a check and wasn’t Amazon, so guess it was just a random sales call. Up late today as no Matt poking his head in to check when I was getting up. Definitely nothing to do with chatting to Lee and Vicky until 3am.

Aching from all the wood moving so might just lay in bed a little longer watching some TV.

Ok, 1pm, I really have to get up as I have logs to move – ironic yay! Firstly to stack a load up in the kitchen to help them start drying out a bit more.

Well my arms are tender and bruised from moving all that wood yesterday. Think I’ll start with a trip down to Lidl in Luchon. Still no sewing machine. Got a few bits and pieces though so we now have some veg in the freezer and more exciting food in the fridge which is progress. Wine selection is pretty rubbish so will go to Intermarche later.

Shopping away and guess I’m going to have to tackle this stack of wood. My god, it is never ending. How are there so many still there, I’ve literally been doing this for hours. I sang to them and asked them really nicely but they just sat there. Why wouldn’t they go in the damned garage?!

Would you Adam and Eve it, there is still more wood to go. It’s getting pretty dark how though so going to give up and head in. Thankfully the before and after show that I have made some progress but it’s a pretty thankless and labour intensive task.

What this house really needs is a hot tub so I can soak my weary muscles and relax. Too tired to do too much more today. Best get to Intermarche to get some more wine before the second half of the rugby. One of the best things about France (and possibly the only thing that is cheap here) is the wine – less than £20, bargain!

Time to relax for a bit and have a beer. Well played England. Not quite the trouncing that we were hoping for but a win so puts us top of the group. Best get the fire started then as it’s cold. Damned thing is playing silly buggers today so going to cheat and add one of the compressed logs to get it moving, I can’t be bothered to fanny about with it today. Tonia rang between the games. Had to draw it to a close so I could get the timelapses to Matt for yesterday’s post and grab some food. Leftover pizza for the least amount of effort.

France v Italy up next and a blog to write, at least this is easier than moving the never ending pile of wood. I know which I’d rather spend my time doing.

Lots of sitting by the fire and battling with it at times but certainly got it super hot this evening. The photo doesn’t even do it justice in how it glowed.

Going to have a reasonably early night though as I am too tired to do much else. Night all xx
